Hi,
I have a 1981 J model. I had the exhaust system made up to suit. Cost me in New Zealand $400 including chroming. Supplied my own mufflers. It looks almost the same as the original.
I was driven by the fact that I wanted easy access to oil filter and hated the unbalanced look of 4 into 1. So I would check with your local muffler custom shop to see if they would build one for you. Normally you have to leave the bike with them so that they can measure fit etc.

Yeah, FFR I don't see an aftermarket 4into2 for your bike either. You may have to become one with the eBay Spirit to snag a system that will meet your wants. As for just the header pipes, they were apparently unique to your style bike, but were made for three years (A1, 2, and 3)
