Oil Filter ?

I want to purchase a new oli filter for my 78 Z1R, does anyone know the Kawasaki part No.?

I tried searching Kawasaki.com but got a message "no match found" when I searched on 1978 Z1R, I then searched "KZ1000" no match found!! I laughed to myself, I won't bother searching that site again....

I don't know about the Kawasaki part number, but here's where I buy K&N oil filters for my KZ650C1 (they are very high quality).

Thanks for the info.......

Kawasaki.com lists the early 1000's as 1020 if you
are searching by year and displacement.

And it does list the 78 Z1R, here's the pic.

Z1R is the model name... Kawasaki.com uses model designator; in this case I think it will be a KZ1000-D1. Try searching by model designator.

Don't use orange filters! Insides are made of cardboard. I always use WIX or Napa Gold filters. Look for WIX here:
