Baffle options for Mac 4-1

I have a Mac 4-1 exhaust on the bike. During a period of constant backfiring due to carb problems, it spit the baffle completely out.

Now, I love the way it sounds, but, it's a little loud, according to a local law enforcement official.

When it had the baffle in before, it sounded kinda like farting. I'd love to find a way to keep the current cool sound, jut tone it down enough to keep the cops happy.

What are the baffling options for this exhaust?

I still use the stock setup and just added some additional holes in the back plate. If your's sounds like farting then You might have a badly dented pipe, that will be bad news for the exhaust valve on that cylinder. Also the MAC has a set screw hole in the baffle and megaphone so it should have had a screw in there to keep it in place.
