Part Number help

I have been trolling through the Kawasaki Parts Diagrams and can't find a number for the "External Shift Mechanism Cover." '81 KZ550LTD (c2),had a chain break today and tore up the chain guard, which didn't break @ the bolts, just ripped a hole in the side of the cover. Out came a bunch of oil.
Need help finding the part number so I can start the search for a replacement.

Thanks
Dustin

It's under "breather cover/oil pan", I don't understand it either, but that's where I found it :S

Part # 14025-1486. Used on 550s and most 650s and 750s of the same general years.
321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

I just checked kawasaki.com (which I hadn't done before, my mistake) and it's only the Zx750's it won't work with.
Of course that's what I was dealing with.

Interesting, the 550 cover is the same as the 750 twin cover, and I have several of those.

And I have been scouring eBay daily for a long time looking for a 550 trans that included the cover, and here I have several laying around :D

Thanks Ron, for making me check
