If you're referring to the hose in your hand, I'm wondering if it's the hose that used to connect the crankcase vent to the air box? If so, It's can't be blocked. At the least, you will have to fit a breather filter, at the BEST you'll reinstall the airbox and connect it up the way it was.
Sorry, couldn't resist the soap box.
If it's the hose from the air injection system you'll only need to block off the hose connections on the exhaust cam cover and the vacuum connections on the intake manifold.

Exactly what i wanted to know, thank you. Just trying to get it running, its been sitting for 18 yrs or so, had to put a harness on it, did that, then needed a starter, did that, and actually got it cranking today. Woo hoo! Now time to clean the carbs and see how what problem is gonna come up next! Im running no air filters at the moment, plan to use pods in the future, but for now all i want to do is see her start so im not worried about rejetting yet. Thanks again for the help!
