I am working hard to save up the shipping money to get my shop opened here in Hawaii
I hate electrical stuff.
Need an exhaust system for 82 Kz750F 4 banger was created by CruisingRam
the 750 shaftie I am working on has no exhaust!
What year exhausts will work with this> I can build my own slip on if I have too- done it many times before- but the header pipe- I have no idea- I have two Z1 4 into 1 exhausts in my shop- will these bolt on?

Petaluma and Truckee, CA -- member since Jan. 23, 2003;
PREVIOUS KZs: 1980 KZ750H with 108,000 miles; 1980 KZ750E with 28,000 miles; and KZ750H street/cafe project, all sold a few years back.
This is what I do for fun, not for work. It is art, with a little engineering thrown in.

For the headers you can use the system for any 4 cylinder KZ650 or KZ750, and all GPZ750 bikes. The mufflers vary slightly, but you can generally make any of the work with little more than fabrication of the mounting brackets.
One guy here has also used the entire system from a recent model ZR7. He did a write-up that you could find using the search function.
The headers for a 900, 1000, or 1100 will be too widely spaced, and will be too large in diameter where they enter the head. I wouldn't go through the effort needed to make them fit.

Hey- what head pipes and header/head spacing will work? Even if I have the right tubes coming out of the motor, I can fab up some cool exhaust ideas.
