-1977 Kz650 Custom bought new by brother. Now with 810 kit, GPz750 cams, intake valves, Mikuni 29 smoothbores, velocity stacks, Dyna Igntion, MAC pipe and other goodies.
-1982 Ferrari 308 GTSi Red/Tan
-Toyota FJ Cruiser - 6 speed tank
-2010 Mazda CX-7 Turbo (my bride's)
-1998 Jeep TJ Wrangler 4.0...

Why don't you just invest some time and elbow grease polishing the ones you have? A little Mother's (or Auto-Sol) and a good buffing wheel can give a chrome-like finish if you put the effort into the job.

I believe that rumor. Does anybody know if they came this way from the factory(outsides polished, inside not)? Mine on my 750 are just like this

I like polished myself, but if you want chorme it's an easy fix. Drop of the tops and bowls at a chrome shop and pick them up a week or two later. It won't be very expensive.
Another rule with polishing, is only polish items you have access to. I'm sure you know that polishing is a pain. I only wish I followed my own advice.
