78 kz650 B valve questions

I'm thinking the valves need adjustment. I have a flutter when revving (idle is fine) and I blew the carbs out and its still there. could be a plug but I don't think it is and the bike has around 11,000 miles on it and I have no idea if its ever been done. I'm going to adjust them myself butI don't have a manual so if anyone can help me out I'd appreciate it. thanks.

ok replaced the plugs... idle is still fine... but I feel the flutter from time to time when riding. and it acts like its loading up on hard acceleration. so it may be carb related. I still need to know if these valves need adjusting tho. any help?

I think the problem was a loose sync tube cap... we'll find out tomorrow.
