I have the stock pipes from the block and I am looking for chrome slip-on 4 into 2's. The bike has black mufflers on it now-no indication of a manufacturer.
Topshelfparts, Dennis Kirk and Bike Bandit show the MAC 002-0511 as replacement. This part has a single pipe receiver instead of the double pipe receiver and I presume Mac made the error on proper application.
Anyone out there have an idea where to get the true 4 into 2 slip-ons?
Topshelfparts has a kz900 that looks like the proper configuration, but it has a fixed rear mount and I do not know if the rear mount will match up with the 1000 frame mount.
Also, since I do not see a 900 made in that year on some reference charts, is the 1978 1000a2 just a bored out 900?
