The lower end is finally back together and will hold oil again!
Now I'm looking at the cylinder block. My block is stamped 1015cc, and I've measured the bores(roughly) and they are the stock 70mm. When I look at the top of the sleeves there is lots of material to be bored away. However, at the bottom it seem so much thinner.
Does it matter if the lower part of the sleeve is quite thin? If it helps the has the o-rings at the base, and I'll be using MTC's 7.8:1 piston's for 1075cc.

The top of the sleeve has a flanged edge on it so it only looks thicker.

I hope you're going to use some type of forced induction with the 7.8:1 pistons.
The stock sleeves will do fine for a 1075 kit. The stock 1015 sleeves can be bored out to 1105 before they need replaced with bigger sleeves.
Later, Doug

They are thinner on the bottom so you can get the cylinders to slide over the pistons and rings easier.

Yes, it does matter. The stock 1000/1015 block can be bored to 72mm/1075cc. Athough 73mm/1105cc pistons are sold, the liners are very very thin at this size and will warp very easy at this size. It is "not recommended" to go this big in stock liners. 1075 will work fine though.
