32 mm valve Shims? Where to get?
10 Sep 2007 10:07
I have a 1979 KZ 750 twin that needs a valve job, so I will need some valve shims after wards to reset the gaps. It uses the wired 32mm shims nobody seems to have.
Any magic source around?
I went to the dealer and the kid said he thought they could order them..... at about $26 each, and who knows how long to arrive.
I haven't had the head done yet, so I don't know which ones I'll need.
Do you guys do swaps or how do you get the shims?

They only have a very few sizes, and none of the thinner ones needed after a head has been ground.

The small sizes occasionally show up on ebay but you will have some pretty stout competition from several of your KZr co-members,... as well as some German guy. I've seldom seen anything smaller than 3.45 though.
