Finally going to do it..........

Just celebrated my 3rd anniversary of owning this bike. The engine is tired,leaky, and smoking. Boring the cylinder .030 over, putting on a ported head with bigger cams and valves. This is a brand new adventure for me so wish me luck. Having the head professionally assembled and machine shop to do the bore. Basically I am going to attempt taking it apart and putting it back together.
If anyones has any "do and don'ts" they are certainly welcome. I am a "virgin" at this. Been gathering parts for a while and I think I am ready.
Will be posting my progress and hopefully not my problems.
Got this new digital camera for Christmas so I am experimenting with it also.

OK have to figure out how to resize the rest.....Stay tuned.

Unless you got some dirt cheap oem pistons, put a big bore in it while you are doing this.

You would spend your money wisely if you pull the bottom end, check the transmission shift forks and gears and replace the cam chain and ANY questionable tensioner bits... the rubber dampeners should also be changed. While doing this job, I recommend you also change all your oil seals.

Finally getting the camera figured out. Now if I could just figure out how to turn on this compressor....!!!!!
