Alternator Rubber Grommet Changing Advice? was created by brich
I got to change that rubber grommet in my alternator cover. I see that the 3 wires go through it and was wondering if anyone had any experience changing these. Do you disconnect the wires from the coupler and pull them through that way or do you cut them and solder them back together? Any advice is greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
brian

Perfect Patton .. thanks. I had a feeling i was going to have to solder but just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing a simpler way.
I like Sandy's idea about cutting them under the side cover in case i screw up and need to get to them. Well, better go practice my soldering as it has been years and I think i sucked at it back them too!
