Varying Valve Clearance?????

I have a varying valve clearances across the board.

QUESTIONS:

1. What does this mean?

2. Can I shim each one with a different size to make them all the same? Do I want them all to be the same?

3. Is it possible this is worn down lobes?

4. How will this effect performance?

Those clearances are OK really, but on the tight side. I'd swap the 7 tight ones with a shim 1 size smaller than what you have now, then you'd be close to .004" on them all. I doubt seriously you'll tell any difference in performance whether you swap them or not.

your in good shape this is norrmal. the gap gets smaller as things ware so next year when u reshim u can go to the top end of the spec..004"
