Is it possible for the cam chain to jump time if the motor is turned over with kicker if the tensioner is removed.

Ok i guess i will pull the cam cover and check it.P.O. was in the process of stripping this bike for parts when i rescued it.(note to self NO MORE BASKET CASES).
