I have a 1978 Kz1000 1075 kit,29mm flatslides,Header,!5 tooth front sprocket,33 rear.
I had my speedo checked it is 3mph fast.
Tonight i was in third gear 100mph at 8500 rpm.It was dark so i backed off there lot of deer around here.
So for me i will keep ya posted but i think i can pass 135 easy. And it did not take long to get there.

if we say 8500 redline. a 2.190 primary ratio, 1.040 fifth gear ratio. and your final of 2.2 added up to a final overall ration of 5.430. which when divided gives you 1565 rpm of the rear tire. estimating about a 80 inch circumference gives you a forward travel of 125230 inches per minute. then cross multiply with i mile per minute gives you a speed of about 118 mph.
now if you spin it up to ten grand you would be going about 139.5 mph
now i figured in a few estimates and guesses but numbers do not lie.

124 mph here. But... is the speedometer right? I think they used to bump up the speedometer reading so you think you are going faster.

All of the speedos on older bikes like ours are slightly "optimistic".
ex: indicated speed - 124 mph
actual speed - 119 mph
Mount a lower or higher profile tire (or smaller/larger diameter wheel) on the front, and it can throw the indicated and actual speeds off even more.

primary- 1.73
5th gear- 1.22
rear (w/15-33)- 2.20
if you can pull 8500 in high you'll be around 147 mph with a 26" rear tire, better be down hill & with the wind if stock.
