I have a Yoshimura pipe on my bike. I've had it since 78 when Yoshimura used my bike as a jig for making pipes. I love the sound and that it will not hit the ground no matter how far you lean the bike in turns.

I got a Yoshimura as well and I can make it touch the ground, just before the handle bar end does:pinch:. Please don't ask me how I know.

I had a Yosh on my Z1R...then sold it when I put the thing back to stock...huge mistake.
The best fitting pipe I ever had was a SuperTrapp...made another mistake selling that one, also. Sold it to finance a Kerker pipe as it looks 'correct' on the ELR clone. I will say the only pipe that I've ever had that fits worse (meaning, big gaps between the pipe and the bike, and looks like ass to me) than the Kerker was a Vance and Hines that I immediately sold ... alas, not a mistake!
To solve my Kerker dilema I'm going to have a machinist install a new mid-pipe to close up the visuals, then send it off to have at jet-hot coated.

seems like a vendetta against v&h. i just replaced the stock ex. on my gpz with a 4-1 v&h and i love it. but i may be biased ive always liked v&h the top end feels a little retarted right now but my mid range is much better i can actually cruise in traffic now in 2nd or third instead of shifting constantly:cheer:

The header pipe was smashed by the fork leg and the car I think but the rest was un-scraped.

I have a black older Kerker on my 79 1000 LTD but would trade it for a Chrome 4 into 1 even a V&H.i had a V&H on a 77 1000 and thought it fit and looked good.

Put a new black Kerker ($195.00) on my bike 26 years ago. Been repainted a couple times, keep the baffle packed tight so it's relatively quiet. The set screw stripped out on my end cap but have a brand new one (yes, still available) waiting on the work bench. Still thinking about going back to stock, probably never will tho...

I have some Kerker Incarnation
The pipe was old when I got the bike now its old and banged up to hell and the exhaust bracket that originally held the pipe to the passenger peg of the bike fell right apart.
If you do get a 4-1 kerker, expect to have to replace it in a few years. I would also recommend you rig up something rubber mounted to replace the kerker bracket BEFORE it breaks off.
It does sound mean as hell though. I really like that sound no other bike that I've heard can scream like my 650 w/ the 4-1 kerker pipe no packing.

I guess I'm the only one running a MAC header. It ain't pretty, and I couldn't tell you if it runs any worse or better than a V&H, Kerker, Yosh etc., but it's what was on my bike when I bought it.
I do like the sound of it without the muffler in it, but beings that I don't want to piss my neighbors off, I found a tractor muffler at the Farm and home that slides right into the tailpipe. So I install the muffler during the week, and on the weekends when all the HD's come to party, I take the muffler back out for that sweet KZ obnoxiousness.
I just wish it was chrome.
