They are the same thing as APE K410 grind...or actuallyl it's the other way around...Andrews doesn't make them anymore. It appears APE has the old 8x and 5X grinds available with their label. Jay can verify that for you.

I just installed a set of 8X in a 1200 motor. You'll like those cams. Nice strong pull on the street.

Andrews Specs

27/59/-/59/27 timing I/E [106 lobe centers]@.030"

266 Duration and .410" lift

The set I installed, at .006 lash measured 247 Duration @.050".

I like 108 / 110 lobe centers on those cams with flowed heads.

thanks fellas. I read somewhere that APE's cam is a take-off from the Andrews but didn't know which one, I was hoping it would be the 410G.

When Andrews quit making cams for the import bikes, we bought the masters for the 5X and 8X from them. They are our K410 and K435. The two most popular KZ/GPZ cams in the history of the universe!!!!!:P

My MTC .410 lift cams were ground by
Engel.Who did the billet castings
for most of our cams?

Engle had my masters for a couple of years and did our cams. I would hate to think they used my masters to grind cams for others.

Your castings should have EP on them. Those are the initials of the company that makes the blanks.

284 duration @.030" .530" lift. This isn't a street cam. It's designed to be an Intake cam.

I took them out of my 13:1 1170 years ago,no wonder that thing was so tempermental below 6500 that thing would piss and pop,but ya better of been watching the tach and holding on when she got up around 6500 or so,that thing would become downright evil scary really fast! :P
