Good Deal on 900 Jugs/1015 pistons on ebay

Hey gang - if anyone is looking for a set of 900 jugs with 1015 pistons and wrist pins check out this auction. I wanted to bid on the parts for a future project 650 with a 900 motor tucked into the frame, but the seller doesn't ship outside of the U.S. and I am in Canada. Bummer!

Looks like a fairly decent price and might be worth looking into further.

I would have grabbed them for You.I can now get stuff shipped to Washington(15 minutes from Me)just across the line,at a gas station.They hold it there,and they only charge a few bucks for their services.

Thanks for the offer Sandy. The parts went for only $36.99 which is a pretty decent price. I'll be keeping my eye open for a big-bore 1000 motor in the future and possibly take you up on your offer if the seller doesn't want to ship across the border.

The funny thing about this seller was that he was located less than an hour from the Canada U.S. border and even given his proximity to Canada he still doesn't ship outside his country.

Reborn - if your interested I got an old set of Wiesco 1075 pistons with rings and pins. By old I mean when i got the bike they were sitting along side it in the garage new in the box, but they were like 10 years old i was told. I had them in my 900 for about 300 miles tops and then parked the bike for about 6 years. I a in the process of rebuilding the whole bike and bought new ones.
I am 90% sure I have the bored cylinders for it to. I got to look for them, there might have been a busted fin on them but i have to dig them out and check. I was planning on putting them up on eBay with all the rest of my spare parts once the bike is finished but I am willing to sell them anytime.
They are dirty, cause i figured i would wait till i was ready to sell to clean them. I honestly am not sure what it is worth but I willing to make a good deal as ... i dont need them! Let me know if your interested and I can snap some pictures of it all.

i was watching that auction also.
just wanted to see what it went for since i was thinking of listing the 1015 kit i have.
but for only $36 i'll keep it.
maybe i'll try that 1000 in a 650 frame project.
i have a complete 650 i bought off craigslist with title for $75 and a z1 motor with the 1015 kit.
i got the 650 so cheap because the guy said it won't shift into second gear.
bike was not running.
i kept my mouth shut,haggled him down from the $100 asking price then i loaded it up.
4 plugs and a shot of eather and it fired right up.
80 csr650.

Holy sh#t Steve. Pretty sweet deal. Now you have the parts needed to spend a snowy Rochester winter hunkered down trying to figure out the best fabrication of motor mounts to stuff the big litre motor into the middleweight frame. If you do, keep the stock sidecovers on the 650 o.k.?

If you do decide to go with the new heart transplant and need some close up pics of a 650/1000 pairing I am pretty sure I have some saved that I can email to you.
