1075 head gasket question was created by donthekawguy
I just got my bike running yesterday and it runs really bad. It is firing on all four but when you twist the throttle it wants to die. I didn't think of this before but saw a post about copper head gaskets. I used a stock size head gasket with the 1075 kit. Are there head gaskets for the 1075 or will the stock size work?

Did You use a 1-piece,or a 2-piece head gasket, and did You use the spaghetti-ring(0-ring seal)in the center of the head?
If You DID use a 1-piece had gasket, and You installed that 0-ring,chances are You're head gasket is leaking.
Went through that with Mine a couple years ago,Don.;)

So if You DID...be prepared to pull the head again Bud.:(

I used the inner o-ring and two-piece gasket on mine...no problems. Copper head gaskets are made for high compression and you need to have cylinders o-ringed to seal the copper.

The only thing i know is that wiseco and cometic list different gaskets for 1015 engines and 1075 engines.

So i go with the one listed for my engine size.

1979 KZ1000 MKII, 1075 wiseco kit installed, 10.25:1 compression, welded crank, kerker header and custom paint.
