Valve part number question
03 Aug 2007 12:45
Question, is the exhaust valve for a 82 1100a2 the same in a '80 1000LTD? I need an exhaust valve for my A2 and I have a line on a used valve for a 80 LTD. The Kawasaki parts IPC does not have the valves for the LTD listed. The part number for my 82 A2 is 12005-1011. Thanks....chris3

The short answer is no. The head style changed in 1981 (with the exception of the 1981 KZ1000C4 model) and the valves are considerably different. The part number for the 1980 KZ1000B4 valve is 12005-1009....stick with 12005-1011.

The 1100 has a larger head diameter and the overall length is shorter.
