Will wheels from a 19811000 ltd fit a 1978 kz1000

Stupid question i know but my freind has some wheels for sale.

They should fit. Try to find a set of 78 ltd wheels to compare them with, maybe at a wrecking yrad.

fwiw I've recently tried fitting an 1981 wheel on my 77KZ and it's a no go. they are about a quarter inch narrower thru the hub width than the pre 81 bikes and short of machining up an adapter to bush out the sprocket side to make everything line up it's a no go imo.
