interchangeable exhaust? KZ1000P w/?

Hey all, feels like its been about a thousand years. Its time to replace the exhaust on the old P. I'm wondering if anyone is aware if the headers from another KZ will fit a police model. I'll probably be using straights so the mufflers are not important. Any suggestions? Thanks as always to the best bunch of nutjobs on 2 wheels.

My exhaust is in need of replacing too! My '89's exhaust is very rusty and needs help. Hope someone out there has some good info.

im guessing you will need something fairly flat to clear the bags on rear,i would think just about any header will fit the motor;)

Vance and hines lists headers for several
KZ1000 models.They would be the ones to ask.
