kz1000 whirring sound
26 Jul 2007 05:15
What gives the kz1000 its distinctive straight cut gear whirring noise? Starter gears? I personally like this sound and wish mine was as loud as my neighbors bike.

The valve train/cam chain is where the distinctive sound comes from

I think the sound your hearing is coming from the primary gears, (crankshaft to clutch) and yep they're straight cut
