kz1000 whirring sound

What gives the kz1000 its distinctive straight cut gear whirring noise? Starter gears? I personally like this sound and wish mine was as loud as my neighbors bike.

I think the sound your hearing is coming from the primary gears, (crankshaft to clutch) and yep they're straight cut

That and the intake, my little sister thought my first Z1 "whistled" and loved that sound...
