1976 KZ 900 oil capacity

Is 4.20 Litres (including filter) the correct oil capacity for the captioned?

I always replace the filter when I change the oil but tend to just dump one US gallon (3.78L?) back in to refill and don't worry too much about the extra 0.40L.

Should I be topping of with an extra 0.4L or not to worry?

Four quarts is plenty.If you check the window,
sometimes a little too much.I think some oil
gets trapped in the back of the pan.

i go with 3-1/2 and check it from there;)

3700cc's is what's called for,but YA...put in 3 liters/quarts...run it for a bit(1 minute should do it),and then after You've let the oil settle...check the sight glass to see where You're at.

If you have 76 engine cases, the 3700cc is embossed up there near the filler neck and that is about 4 qts. If usually fill the thing to where the oil is between the lines on the sight glass then run the bike a bit and top it off as the oil settles down into the crankcase.
