I thought i broke my clutch cable

well i i went out riding after work tonight on the 900 and stopped at a car show. Everything was good when i went to leave and about a mile down the road i went to pull in the clutch cable because there was a red light, and nothing, just like the cable disapeared. I was able to stick it in neutral and rolled into a gas station. I was looking for a broken cable, then i took of the cover with the 2 screws on the sproket cover. I found the source of my problem, the 12mm nut backed off the clutch adjustment screw. I tightened it up and was back on the road in less than 5 minutes.

Well, it's good to hear that you got it back on the road. Once in a while it really is a simple problem,,

it was kinda funny cause another guy on an HD left the car shwo and hammerd it and when he did he broke both throttle cables, and the bike made this awful jerking sound and then just died. Im not a total HD hater, i rode over and gave him a lift to the HD dealer, were he got 2 new throttle cables, they were like $80.00 for both, and i even helped him put them on. Then he let me take it around the block, it wasn't a half bad bike if you could get used to the deafining exhaust that ended by my now burned up boot's, and the vibrations that were every wear, anf this awful grinding sound going through the gears. I like them, but i wouldn't spend 20,000 to 40,000 on them
