Hey guys, A few weeks ago I was looking through my service manual and I noticed the motor oil rating was SE. When I went down to the shop all they had was SJ rated oil, and ever since, the whole topic has peaked my interest. I've read a lot since then and I found an article that was really interesting about the trade off between newer oil (and their friction modifiers) that the Japanese proved causes clutch problems, and older oil that doesn't offer the same cold start protection. There's an oil type called 4-T, and if it's half as good as it seems to me, I think it's worth mentioning.
