Need info... was created by ScubasTrunkMnky
I have a 1982 GPz550 and I need to know the Primary Drive Ratio and the chain pitch. I cannot find this information anywhere :( I would really like a link or book with detailed specs of this bike too if someone knows of one.

According to JT Sprockets stock gearing is 16/38 using a 50 pitch chain. I can't remember what 50 pitch converts to but I'm thinking around a 530 pitch.

Yes, #50 chain is also called 530 chain.

And the final drive ratio equals the rear sprocket siae divided by the front sprocket size (number of teeth).

Not looking for the Final Drive Ratio. I'm looking for the Primary Drive Ratio. I'm ordering new sprockets and a chain and I'm doing the math on it all...
