'nother oil light problem...

I just finished an upper end rebuild on a 1999 kz1000p that I picked up that for some reason had a warped head (there was only 21,000 miles on it).
When I fire her up in the morning everything is fine, but when she warms up the oil light comes on when the engine is below 2,500 RPM's. As soon as it goes above that the light goes off. Has new 10W30 oil and does not leak.
Any ideas for the most likely cause?

Since when I am riding the engine is not at idle much of the time, I hope that I don't have to tear anything apart right now....

The first to check would be the switch ,
swap in a different or new one and see what happens .
Small ,easy and cheap ,
to start with ,
I just watched a PRO engine builder (cars)
sling in 4 sets of NEW bearing ,2 NEW oil pumps and about 30 qts of oil and new filters plus all the NEW gaskets all that took ,in one night .
BB Chevy engine.
By the way ,I DON'T LIKE THIS GUY and was there with a friend .
I kept my mouth shut the whole time sipping my beer until I just could NOT take it any longer.
Pis*ed him off asking if he had checked the gauge in the race car .
End of a long and funny story ,
It was a $35 gauge ........
The moral? Start with the basics.

My Clymer manual makes no mention of it. I did see that there is a port right above the ignition coil and that I could screw in an oil gauge. NOONE in town has a gauge that I can screw in there. If worst comes to worst where can I get one?
