Since Vach has VM series carbs, I would think about what needs to be done with BS series carbs on the J bike with an emissions system. Definitely cap the vacuum ports using 7/32" caps. Then trace back any hoses that go to a tee and a vacuum line and then to a vacuum switch. Remove this stuff. There are some bigger hoses associated with the vacuum switch... those over your reed valve ports. Remove the hoses and plug the holes on the spigots they came off of on your valve cover.
