I had it wrote down somewhere but it vanished.

Does any one know the FRAM part number for an oil filter on my 79KZ1000 St. MkII engine? I want to see if my local auto parts store can order them for me.

Just my opinion, but if you have to order an oil filter then spend a few bucks more and order anything BUT Fram. From what these guys are saying they are about the worst filter out there.

I buy Emgo's from Z1 Enterprises, you can find them on ebay and other places too. It's a good filter and doesn't cost anymore than a Fram.

Others may disagree, but everything I've read about filters shows Fram filters to be very poor quality. Take a look at:

for K&N Oil Filters. I've never heard anyone say K&N makes junk. Ed
