Kickstart...
14 Jun 2007 13:34
So, I need to tear into my motor to repair the starter clutch... But i know how to do that thanks to the search function! :side:
My question is, since I am in there, can I remove the kick start mechanism as well? or will I have to break apart the case as the book leads me to believe...
Thanks in advance

Keep it!
It will probably save your ass more than once.
Mine did.

I believe cases have to be split. You can split the cases by pulling the engine and just pulling off the bottom case after removing the case covers. Quite a bit of gasket scraping but you don't have to pull the block or head.
