valve adjusters

i was checking my valve clearance last night and had good measurements on all i think, from .002mm to .004 is the range on both sides most were .002 to .0025. any way i noticed that the valves are shimmed. was just wondering if any models had tappet adjusters i believe they are called???

I believe the KZ440 had the locknut and screw adjusters for the valves instead of shims. I'm not sure about any others. Is that what your referring to?
