81 gpz1100 engine in 77 1000 frame

anyone know if i'll have any problems fitting an 81 gpz 1100 engine in a 1977 kz 1000 frame??

Do you have them both already?

You'll need to move the motor mounts.
If you already have the frame and engine, I am in Atlanta and have a frame the 1100 will fit and an engine that fits your frame Maybe frame swap?

I've never done this swap personally, but I've read that the J-motors are taller and will be a tight squeeze in a KZ frame up near the backbone frame members under the tank. Guy said something about either mounting motor into frame without the head installed or couldn't remove head with motor in frame, or some such thing. Like I said, not an expert on this swap but just wanted to add what I heard about this swap.

actually have the entire '81 gpz1100..but no title..was told it's a real pain in the ass to get a salvaged title..so figured i'd just buy a frame with a title...

There is or was a member that put a GPz1100 motor in a 83 GPz750, so I imagine that putting the 1100 in the 77 1000 frame would be a little simpler.
