1980 kz1000 b4. I have an oil leak where the tach cable goes into the front of the engine. Looked at schems and cant really tell if you have to take the seal that is there out from the inside of the engine block or can get it from the outside. Dont want to mess anything else up so was hoping can change the seal from the outside.

If I remember right, you can remove it from the outside.

One bolt close to the drive on the head is all you need to remove then pull the drive out of the head. There's an oring and a seal potentially bad. My KZ1000 leaked but the drive is seized to the head so I just made a paper gasket to seal the cable to the drive when tightened and it fixed my leak.

321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.
