head gasket, where to buy was created by 84kz700
I need a head and base gasket for my kz700 (pretty much any 4 cylinder kz750) but where would be the cheapest place to buy? The cheapest I have found so far is z1enterprises for 42.00 USD for the head gasket and 14 USD for the base gasket. I was wondering if there is any cheaper (I dont mind paying these prices, but I like to research before I just jump and buy)

I would just go with z1 . Everytime I try and skimp on prices it comes back to bite me in the butt and I end up paying double. Haa. At least with Z1 if you need help or have any sort of problem, they will be just a phone call away to help or make it right. A lot of the vendors out there blow...

it may be best to order the whole gasket kit from z1e. By the time u buy a couple more you will be over the $ of a set.worked for me.B)

Mark, is the whole gasket set on their site? If so, could you please give me a link to the gasket set? Because I can't seem to find it on there....I tried bidding 65.00 USD on a set on ebay but lost:( So looks like im deff. going with Z1, they were very helpful when I called them yesterday, but I didnt know they had a whole gasket set.

The kawi gasket set if probably at least double the aftermarket kit..is it really that much better?

The genuine Kaw head gasket is infinitely better quality than the aftermarkets I've come across. Fortunately I was lucky enough to find a NOS head gasket on ebay when I needed one and I couldn't believe the difference in quality between the craptacular aftermarkets and the genuine Kaw.

I ended up buying a NOS head gasket for my KZ550C from Babbitts sport center online. The price was reasonable, plus it's genuine kaw.

THANKS FOR ALL OF THE REPLIES EVERYONE!!!!! I did'nt even know that "Babbitts" exsisted and I am now buying my gaskets from them (probably every part) because the prices arent bad and you can get about everything from one shop!!!!
