What's the difference between a roller cam and a flat tappet cam? We have roller cams right? I know it's probably a dumb question but....

Well I'd say neither. They are more of a solid lifters. A roller cam has steeper lifts because the lifters have a roller on the tip.

KZ's have flat tappet cams for the reason Mark stated, no rollers :)

yes we have flat tappet cams, the rollers have a roller on the lifter that follows the profile of the cam, the advantsge is you can get higher lifts and profiles with a roller than you can on a solid lift cam.
