Rewuest help identifying motor was created by FloridaBiker
Motor is supposedly a '81 GPZ1100.
Eng # KZT10be0011396

Is this a J motor?
18MM piston pins?

Thanks

Floridabiker:

Your motor VIN says '1982 GPz1100 B2 model' but 18mm wrist pins say '1983/4 GPz' (like wireman said)...if the motor is stock, then the wrist pins are not 18mm:) and it is a 'J' style motor.

You sure about that number? There seems to be a digit too much, there should only be 6 numbers after the KZT10BE.

From Zedder.com :

81 GPz 1100: KZT10BE000001 - 010400

82 GPz 1100: KZT10BE010401 - 016449

83 GPz 1100: KZT10BE019301 - 029300 (aka ZX 1100 A1)

84 GPz 1100: KZT10BE029301 - 037200 (aka ZX 1100 A2)

81-82 GPz 1100s (GPz 1100 B1/B2) have 17mm wristpins, 83-84 GPz1100s (ZX1100 A1/A2) have 18mm wristpins.
