checking compression ratio was created by donthekawguy
A question was braught up in another of my posts about the compression ratio of the new pistons I just put in. Is there a way to check without having to take them out again? I did see any markings anywhere on them before I put them in. Maybe checking to see how high the dome is from the top of the cylinder or something like that?

ive been kinda looking into the same idea as i need to lower compression. one opinion was to cc the piston crown and head to get some real numbers, but wireman might have a set stashed under his bed he could measure for ya:P

I took a look at the MTC site and they have a pic of a piston where the valve cut outs are almost touching at the top of the crown. I'm guessing those are the 12.5-1 pistons.
