anyone ever had microblue done to their inner bits? or know someone who knows someone who knows someone? im thinking about seeing if the price isnt too high, having my bearing inserts just coated, and maybe along with my crank journals and cam journals. whaddya think?

ive had lots of parts coated,but you cant do much with 900-1000 cranks and bearings.i have had piston domes/skirts valves and combustion chambers and ports coated,just remember anything you add to a machined surface affects clearances;)

well they say thats the beauty of this microblue stuff cus its only half a micron thick or so. so its not supposed to play with that crap, but then again, if it was a miracle cure, why wouldnt everyone and their grandma be doing it?

A Slick 50 or similar oil additive might
work just as good.I would wonder if the
coating process of microblue would affect
the heat treating of some of the metals?

i dont know about that but i do know that they apply it with a sandblast cabinet. i think.
