Engine covers?
20 May 2007 17:50
I am starting my 1978 Z1R restoration project....can anyone tell me if KZ1000 engine covers ie(altenator cover)will fit the ZIR engines? I assume they they will but I just want to make sure that the Z1R usies the standard KZ1000 motor....I see "new" side covers on ebay all the time and it sure would save me from polishing the existing covers.

I would just polish the existing covers, put some sweat and tears into it. It would make you feel better to stand back and look at what you did, instead of what you bought and if ya have a wife just tell her you bought them cheap cos you won't want her to know where you been putting all that daily energy.
