Any way to black out exhaust?
06 May 2007 19:17
I don't care much for chrome and have blacked out most of the chrome on my bike. The exhaust, however, is a different story. I spoke witha powder coating company but they said the powder coat could not take the heat. Is there any way to black out a chrome exhaust? Anidize? I've looked for new exhaust but only found it in chrome. I've seen plenty of picks of kz's with black exhaust. Thanks again in advance.

Sent it to Jet Hot for high temp coating. Jet Hot is not cheap but it will stand the test of time. If they coat the inside and out then it will never rust out either.

Once you paint it,you will always have to repaint it.
Have it ceramic coated.JetHot and others can do it.
You may find a local shop that will do it cheaper,
check your yellow pages.

Hi Fugitive,
that is a pretty picture of your bike. Is that an aftermarket 4 into 1?
Anyway, I referenced my Harley muffler post, because there is some information there which might help you with your search for options.
