here's the update: dumb me never even thought to look at the wiring under neath (glanced at connections) there was a coil mod done on the bike that i have seen talked about on here with the auto fuse. turns out that one wire from ign unit (green wire) was not even hooked up. it was under some taped wires that i just happen to pull off when in the process of switching coils. the two coils were looped to the same black wire from the ign unit. so put it all back together and fired right up. all four pipes bounce water off them now!!! have a little spfft sound from the carbs every so often but think that may be from some needed fine tuning to the carbs now. hopefully. thanks for the help today about this problem. hopefully have 'er going next week now that gas is 3.34 here!! thanks again
