Another sidewinder header question with pics

I was installing my Vance & Hines sidewinder exhaust when I came upon a problem. I put the spiggots on but I can not put on the nuts because the stud is too close to the spiggot. I have included a few pics for reference. Is there special nuts for the spiggots? I might just end up grinding some for so the nuts will clear. I can't complain cause I paid $15 for the header and spiggots, $30 after shipping.

I think you are supposed to replace
the studs with allen bolts.
