Sounds to me like time for a 750 motor. It will be less money and effort to get a decent KZ750 motor, no?

I have an 83 manual that covers the ZN700A. It looks like in the oil pan area there is definitely 2 ball bearings, 2 springs, and maybe two circlips.

The oil filter mounting bolt assembly; It has a small spring on top of a ball bearing and it's held in place with a pin.
The second ball bearing and spring are in the Relief Valve Assembly. The picture is small but it appears a small circlip holds the works together.

I see the second circlip belongs on the oil pump.
