Like Wiredood said, the heads are pretty good already. There are various cams available out there. You may even consider Zephyr 550 parts, like cams or carbs.

Sorry, I'm bored at work... I don't have really any good answers for you. Looks like the rest have pretty much answered the question. However, there is no sustitute for displacement.... Engine kits and compression increases would make the biggest gains.

Odds are that while keeping the current displacement, you won't achieve much more than a ten percent gain before you have to get fairly radical with the mods.
