I have an extra 750 motor, and i decided o do something crazy. I would like to turbocharge this bike. Can this be done? Any help or suggestions. So far the basic plan is to make a turbo manifold, use a small, easy-spooling turbo from an eagle talon. then make an intake manifold and run it to the turbo.
I dont expect the stock motor to last long, but if i like the setup i will build up the motor with low compression pistons, etc.
Basically i just want to go from one end of the track to the other a couple times at a fairly good time. What troubles will i run into? such as timeing, carbs, etc.

I would say you have the right idea, you could use the EFI system from a 750 turbo, or a gpz1100 and control it with megasquirt. you wont be able to run much boost with stock pistons, but the wiseco 810 kit for the turbo will drop it down in compression and they are much stronger forged pistons
keep us posted

Are you trying to blow through carbs or draw through the turbo. Your are going to need to get a fuel pump and a return style regulator that is boost referenced. Like 77kz650said go with low compression pistons.
