KZ750-M1 Twin Oil Filter Location was created by dadams7161
First let me say Hi everybody this is my first post and glad I found this forum I will be around a lot. I have 2 questions actually I hope someone can help on this one.

1. Where is the oil filter located at on a 1982 KZ750-M1 Twin

2. Does anybody know where I can find a service manual for this bike.

I have hunted eBay for the Manual and Iron Pony. Iron Pony said they think there was not one made for this bike because there were not many of them made.

The bike only has 1,946 original miles but has been setting in a Garage for the last 4 Years, But I figured for 900.00 US I did not get hurt on it.

Thanks for any help anybody can give :)

Hi and welcome,
1)The oil filter is located under the drive (front)sprocket/clutch cover.
2) Yes a Manuel is available, I've seen them on ebay generally go between $20-60. It's title is KZ750 twin and covers all the 750 twins. Main part of the book covers the B series but there are sections for the other twin models.
Good luck,
Ron

Thanks RonJones for the reply. That was the only place I could figure it was it was my next place to look havent had much time to work on it but I am trying to get it ready for this summer. I usually have the dealer do it for me on my other bikes but decided it was just as easy for me to do it from now on. I just bought it and it has 1946 miles on it (those are original). Thanks for all your help.

Yeah, they really hide that filter:). Hope you get a manual on the low end of that price range but get one...you'll need it. The twins seem to be "different". Good luck and welcom again.
Ron
BTW here's an ebay link for the shop manual I have. IMO a good buy it now price, also.
eBay Link

Actually this one is on CD, may look at it myself as I was thinking of putting mine on CD, but this would save me the trouble. Sometimes you want to just use 1 or 2 disposable pages, rather than taking the whole book
