Engine oil capacity '77 KZ1000

What is the engine oil capacity for a '77kz1000? I don't have a manual yet:blush:

im thinking its just over 3 1/2 qts but id say start with 3 and check it,lot easier than starting with 4 and subtracting!:P

Yup...just under 4 quarts/liters.
It's actually stamped on the engine,right where You put the oil in..."3700cc" which is 3.7 liters,but I'm sure You knew that.
And NO...that's NOT the size of the engine!But I'm sure You knew that too.:laugh:

Never-mind... a few years ago,Somebody here on the forum DID think that that was the engine size...I think it was that Retro Fella:laugh: :whistle:

77 kz650, owned for over 25 years

Isn't 3.7L stamped on the cases or 3700cc oil capacity... just a shade under 4 qts in American? That is with oil filter change.
