Valve Cover Question - Fitment between years & models was created by KnuckleBuster
Will the valve cover from a 1978 KZ650 fit the head of a 1981 KZ750?

It should bolt up, but the smog holes from the head going to the reeds will have to be blocked off some how. Don't quote me on the bolt pattern though.

Yeah, my goal is to get rid of the dumb smog nonsense and reed valves. I was looking throught he parts diagrams on the Kawasaki website and noticed that the Canadian version of the 81 KZ750 valve covers doesn't have the reed valves. I'm going to run pods on my bike, so I have to do something about the smog tubes anyway, so I figured why not run a nice clean looking valve cover if I can find one.
Thanks,
Jay
